Susan’s Approach and Philosophy
Susan believes in the power of the individual, in the courage, reasoning, and resilience that allow one person to rise above circumstance and reveal something true about us all. Her work begins with listening, not labeling. Every story she tells starts from the conviction that people are more than the groups they belong to or the systems they inhabit. She believes freedom and responsibility are inseparable. Freedom gives voice to truth, and responsibility ensures that truth is pursued with integrity and care. Susan is drawn to the grey areas, the places where justice and survival, idealism and compromise, collide. She sees complexity not as a flaw in humanity but as its most honest expression.
